If you have bought a Live Christmas tree go green after Christmas participating in a Christmas tree recycling event.
After removing all decorations and lights take the live Christmas trees to a recycling centre. Trees will be reused as mulch or wildlife habitat. For the past 20 years Georgians have recycled their trees and kept them out of inert landfills with the "Bring One for the Chipper" annual Christmas tree recycling program. There is a certain to be a recycling event near you just contact your Public Works Departmen
